In University College Cork a special event takes place at the Department of Microbiology “Eco-Kidz: Inspiring the next generation of plastic-free champions”. Students working on plastics-related projects host a workshop with 6th class pupils of a local National School. They aim to highlight the problem of plastic waste and microplastic contamination, and to encourage the participants to become involved in reducing our use of plastic.
