Impacts of MicroPlastics (IMP) in Irish Fresh Water

Microplastics are plastic particles smaller than 5mm. They are widespread in seas and oceans, and their harmful effects on many different marine animals are well known. This project, funded by the EPA, explores the impacts of microplastics on Irish freshwater aquatic organisms and ecosystems.
